Returns & Refunds Policy
Neff Paving provides custom, on-site services rather than retail products, so this policy explains how deposits, cancellations, refunds, and our workmanship guarantee work. Please read it carefully before scheduling a project.
Last updated: June 16, 2026In this policy, "Neff Paving," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Neff Paving, located at 6575 W Pike, Zanesville, OH 43701. "You" and "your" refer to the customer engaging our services. Because we sell custom paving, concrete, and excavation services — not retail goods — there are no product "returns." Instead, this policy covers deposits, cancellations, refunds, and our commitment to standing behind our work.
1. Overview
Every Neff Paving project is custom work performed at your property using labor, equipment, and materials ordered specifically for your job. For that reason, our policy addresses deposits, cancellations, and refunds rather than the return of a physical product.
The specific terms for your project — including scope, price, deposit, and payment schedule — are defined in the written estimate or contract you sign for that project. Where this policy and your signed contract differ, your signed contract controls.
2. Estimates Are Free
Requesting an estimate or quote from Neff Paving is always free and carries no obligation. You will never be charged for an on-site evaluation or a written quote, and you are under no obligation to hire us after receiving one.
Instant figures generated on our website are preliminary, non-binding ballpark estimates. A final, binding price is established only after an on-site evaluation and a written quote agreed to by both parties.
3. Deposits
For many projects, a deposit may be required to reserve your spot on our schedule and to order the materials your job requires. When a deposit applies, the amount and timing are stated in your contract.
Your deposit is applied toward the total contract price of your project — it is not an extra charge. The remaining balance is then due as set out in your contract, typically upon completion of the work.
4. Cancellations by You
If you need to cancel or postpone a scheduled project, please contact us as soon as possible. How your deposit is handled depends on how far the project has progressed:
- Before materials are ordered and before work begins: if you cancel with reasonable advance notice, your deposit is generally refundable, less any out-of-pocket costs we have already incurred.
- After custom materials are ordered or work has begun: your deposit may be partially or fully non-refundable. Custom-ordered or cut materials often cannot be returned, and we may retain reasonable restocking, mobilization, and labor costs already committed to your job.
We will always explain any deductions clearly and refund any remaining balance promptly.
5. Cancellations or Delays by Us
Paving and concrete work is weather-dependent, and scheduling can shift due to weather, material supply, or equipment availability. We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed and to reschedule your project at the earliest workable date.
If Neff Paving cancels your project and is unable to reschedule it to a date that works for you, your deposit is refunded in full.
6. Change Orders
If you wish to change the scope of your project after work is contracted, any change to the scope, materials, or price must be agreed in writing by both parties before that additional work proceeds. A change order may adjust your total price and your schedule.
Verbal requests cannot be honored as binding changes; a written, mutually approved change order protects both you and us.
7. Satisfaction & Workmanship
We stand behind our work. If a defect in our workmanship arises that is covered by the warranty in your contract, we will correct it at no charge to you. Where appropriate, our remedy is to re-do or repair the affected work rather than issue a cash refund, so that your finished project meets the standard you contracted for.
The length and coverage of your warranty are described in your written contract and in our Terms of Service. Warranties do not cover damage from normal wear, neglect, failure to maintain the surface, ground movement, drainage issues outside our scope, or work performed by others.
8. Refund Eligibility & Non-Refundable Items
Because our work is custom and performed on site, certain costs cannot be refunded once incurred. The following are generally non-refundable:
- Custom-ordered, cut, or mixed materials that cannot be returned to suppliers.
- Labor and equipment time for work that has already been completed.
- Mobilization, site preparation, and restocking costs already committed to your job.
Refunds, where due, are issued to the original payment method whenever possible and are limited to amounts paid for work not yet performed.
9. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or discuss a concern with your project, please contact us using the details below and include:
- Your full name and the best phone number or email to reach you.
- The project address.
- A brief description of your project and the reason for your request.
We review every request individually and in good faith, and we will respond as promptly as we can.
10. Dispute Resolution
If a disagreement arises, we ask that you contact us first so we can work toward a fair, good-faith resolution. Most concerns are resolved quickly through direct conversation.
This policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
